Chateau Morrisette To Open Roanoke Tasting Room

Floyd-based winery Chateau Morrisette has always been a popular retreat for Roanoke Valley residents. So much so that the owner is bringing the winery to Roanoke.

Chateau Morrisette is opening a tasting room in Roanoke. It's going into a 2,200-square-foot space at 115 Salem Ave. right across from the Taubman Museum of Art. Owner David Morrisette said he had been looking in downtown Roanoke for several months for the right spot. Roanoke regularly brings crowds to the Floyd winery, so he wanted to have a presence in the Star City. The new tasting room will offer wine for sale by the glass and bottle of wine sold to go. The winery's ciders will also be available.
