Postal Service Will Continue Leasing Over 100,000 SF at The Meridian Group’s Building Near the Rosslyn Metro Station

The Meridian Group announced today that the United States Postal Service has renewed its lease as the lead tenant at International Place, a 12-story office building conveniently located in Rosslyn, Va.

USPS is leasing approximately 115,747 rentable square feet as the home of its Office of the Inspector General. USPS is the largest tenant in the building at 1735 N. Lynn Street where it has been for over 20 years.

“We are delighted the United States Postal Service has chosen to renew its lease at International Place, furthering its commitment to the building and the Rosslyn community,” said Wil Machen, Vice President at The Meridian Group, which owns the building. “Attractive workforce demographics, an excellent multi-modal transportation infrastructure and a great location with iconic views have allowed Rosslyn to attract high-profile relocations like Nestle, as well as retain and grow groups like the USPS, Deloitte and Gartner. This is why we’re experiencing such a robust recovery in this submarket.”

Dave Millard, Peter Berk, Nick Gregorios and Carline Guidera at Avison Young represented The Meridian Group in the lease, while Anna Gardiner at JLL represented USPS.

Located adjacent to Central Place Plaza and the Rosslyn Metro, International Place features spectacular views of the Jefferson Monument, Memorial Bridge and the Potomac River. The LEED Gold and Energy Star-certified building features a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bikes and a tenant-only conference center.

International Place also offers a stellar line-up of fast-casual dining options, including the newly opened Poke Bar. Nearby are numerous shops, coffee houses, restaurants and outdoor activities.

Few properties in the metro DC area are as easily accessible as International Place, with the nearby Metro station and access for motorists via Route 50, Interstate 66, Interstate 395, Wilson Boulevard, Clarendon Boulevard, and the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Georgetown is located just across the Key Bridge.

International Place is also close to a number of new developments, including The JBG Companies’ Central Place. The development includes a large public plaza and extensive ground-level retail that has become the center of activity in Rosslyn.
