Cushman & Wakefield Expands Washington, DC Metro Region Project & Development Services Capabilities

Samala Leads Regional Nonprofit Project & Development Services (PDS) Practice, while Haggerty Leads Regional Healthcare PDS Team

Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Kevin Haggerty and Paul Samala have joined the firm as Vice Presidents, while Milad Bahamin and Mike Dawson have joined as Senior Project Managers in the firm’s Project & Development Services (PDS) group.

Samala brings almost 20 years of experience in based-building architecture and tenant interiors projects for non-profit organizations and associations to Cushman & Wakefield. He joins the firm from Gensler, where he was Global Practice Group Leader for its Foundations, Associations & Organizations Practice Group. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Tufts University and a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.

Haggerty has extensive client services experience leading teams and executing on the planning, design and construction of healthcare and life sciences-related projects. He joins Cushman & Wakefield from CBRE, where he led the MedStar account for Washington Hospital Center, and also has lead project management teams for Adventis and Kaiser Permanente. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a MBA from the University of Maryland.

Bahamin joins Cushman & Wakefield’s Tysons Corner, Virginia office, and brings extensive experience in project management, engineering, estimating, scheduling and bidding office and multifamily developments. He joins the firm from Balfour Beatty Construction, and earned Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil and Construction Engineering from George Mason University.

Dawson joins the PDS team at Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer in Richmond, Virginia, where he will be responsible for providing value-added tenant and landlord project services as well as additional capacity for project execution on the firm’s managed and owned portfolio throughout Southern Virginia and South Carolina. He previously worked for Carr Properties,Rand Construction and DFS Construction Corporation, based in Washington, DC, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University.
