
Marc Schlesinger
Marc Schlesinger, a professional with more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate and investment management industries, has joined Artery Capital Group LLC as Chief Investment Officer. Headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland Artery Capital is a Chevy Chase, Maryland-based company providing investment capital and asset management services for owners and investors of residential, commercial office, hospitality and retail properties as well as large-scale development projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
In his new position, Mr. Schlesinger will focus on the expansion of Artery Capital’s existing portfolio through acquisition opportunities and the placement of investment capital. This includes forming and strengthening relationships with regional development companies, operators, and investors of real estate holdings, the brokerage community, and other investors seeking creative debt and equity capital.
Mr. Schlesinger’s diversified real estate background fits well with Artery Capital’s diverse portfolio. Since 1998, Mr. Schlesinger has originated, structured, and managed the acquisition of more than $500 million worth of real estate assets. Early in his career, he held management-level positions in property management, leasing, and finance for the Charles E. Smith Companies, Spaulding & Slye and Smithy Braedon Company.

Mr. Schlesinger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master of Arts degree from Georgetown University.He is a Member of the Conscious Leadership Group (CLG) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
