International law firm King & Spalding opened a new office in Northern Virginia that will provide services to tech, aerospace, defense and government services (ADG) clients.

With this new location at 1650 Tysons Blvd. in McLean, Virginia, the firm has more than 1,200 lawyers working across its 22 global offices. Mixed with its already established 250-lawyer D.C. office, the NoVa team will be comprised of 25 lawyers working on cases involving mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and government contracts.

“Serving technology and ADG companies, sponsors, and other investors makes Northern Virginia a logical and important location for the firm,” said King & Spalding Chairman Robert D. Hays, Jr. in a statement. “Given both our investment in the corporate practice and the growth in the national security arena, our Tysons Corner office will extend our reach into serving the tech sector across the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia region and globally.”
