Gary Orton
Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, announces that Gary Orton has joined the company as vice president and account manager for its building operations in the Baltimore & Washington, D.C. metro regions.
In this leadership role, Orton will be responsible for spearheading the regional building operation’s strategic focus on the health care and life sciences sectors.

Orton brings more than 30 years of experience in all phases of construction operations including: estimating, scheduling, quality, purchasing of major equipment and trade contracts, field supervision, project management expediting, cost control and safety training. During his career he has served as project engineer, project manager and project executive on numerous building projects totaling more than $1.5 billion, with specific expertise in health care, laboratories and higher education facilities.
Orton joins Skanska from Gilbane where he was vice president/director of healthcare. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University.
