Howard County General Hospital VP Elizabeth Edsall Kromm Appointed to Commission on Aging

Elizabeth Edsall Kromm

Elizabeth Edsall Kromm, vice president of Population Health and Advancement for Howard County General Hospital, was appointed to a three-year term on the Howard County Commission on Aging. The 15-member volunteer advisory board works to promote the health and wellbeing of older adults in Howard County.

Kromm leads population health activities and strategic planning efforts for Howard County General Hospital and sets the strategic direction for development and community engagement. She also helps position the hospital to meet the new challenges of a dynamic health care delivery system and serves as president of the Howard Hospital Foundation.

Among her community service activities, Kromm is the chair of the public health response workgroup for the HoCo Rise Collaborative, co-chair of the Local Health Improvement Coalition, and a member of the strategic planning committee for the Howard Community Health Foundation.

Her distinctions include receiving the 2018 Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Service to Howard Community College for chairing a health care task force as part of the college’s Commission on the Future. Kromm was named to The Daily Record’s 2018 VIP List of “Very Important Professionals Successful by 40” and received a 2017 Leading Women award from The Daily Record.

Kromm earned a doctorate in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she also serves as an adjunct assistant professor. She holds a master’s degree in international health policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree in the history and sociology of science from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a 2017 Premier graduate of Leadership Howard County.
