Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond (RMHC Richmond) for the first quarter of 2021 through their Thalhimer Givesprogram, a company initiative focused on community involvement and charitable giving. Through Thalhimer Gives, associates actively engage in the community by donating financially, providing much-needed supplies, and giving generously of their time to local non-profit organizations.

• Donating financially
• oThalhimer associates raised $3,060forRMHCRichmond through Friday Jeans.Friday Jeans allows Thalhimer associates to wear jeans every Friday by making a $5 donation to the Thalhimer Gives partner organization, along with a company match.
  
  
• Giving generously of their time
• oThalhimer partnered withRMHC Richmond for several volunteer opportunities, and provided associates paid time off to give back.
• §Thalhimer associates assisted RMHC Richmond by making no-sew fleece blankets for family members who are visiting at the hospital or at Ronald McDonald House. They created an array of beautiful, colorful and cozy blankets.
• §Richmond associates assisted RMHC Richmond by donating the contents for and assembling over sixty activity packs. RMHC Richmondprovides activity packs for family members (adult and children) to help fill the time while in the hospital or at Ronald McDonald House. The bags were filled with infant & travel-size toys, snacks, card games, puzzle books, crayons, colored pencils, coloring books, Play-Doh, and journal books.
• §Thalhimer associates gathered at the Ronald McDonald House on Monument Avenue in Richmond to help with outdoor spring-cleaning tasks. They washed the RMHC Richmondvan, painted fencing, cleaned outdoor furniture & cushions, scraped & painted the children’s playhouse, as well as sanitized & scrubbed items within the playhouse.
  
  
• Providing much-needed supplies
• oThalhimer associates donated various supplies needed at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond including copy paper, Forever stamps, individually packaged snacks, non-perishable microwaveable meals, infant toys and travel size games for all children’s ages and other games.

“The Thalhimer team was an absolute joy to work with this quarter. The team jumped right in and found creative ways to volunteer safely during the pandemic. This included making Activity Packs and fleece blankets so patients and families have comfort and items to keep occupied during treatment. Additionally, the team rolled up their sleeves for an outdoor clean-up day beautifying the outdoor space at the Ronald McDonald House. Through their generous donations of in-kind items and jeans day funds, families will have access to temporary housing and support services while their child is receiving pediatric care in RVA.
