Patient First Again Taking All Anthem Health Plans After Companies Reach Deal

Four months after it stopped accepting some Anthem health insurance products, Patient First announced Wednesday that it is once again able to care for all Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield members.

“We reached an agreement with Anthem and, effective immediately, are again accepting new patients insured under all Anthem plans,” according to a Patient First statement.

Patient First, which operates dozens of health clinics in the Mid-Atlantic, on Feb. 2 stopped accepting new patients who were members of some Anthem insurance plans. Those plans included HealthKeepers, KeyCare, Medicare Advantage, as well as out-of-state Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.
