The long-rumored news finally became official early today with an announcement from the Swedish retailer known for huge stores selling build-it-yourself furniture. (Also meatballs.)
Fair warning, though: Given Ikea’s usual schedule, you might not be buying your Ektorps and Lacks in the 757 until 2019 or so.
Company representatives are expected to join elected officials to announce the new store at an event Tuesday morning at the Slover Library in downtown Norfolk.
