The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule this morning on the appeal of former Gov. Bob McDonnell’s corruption convictions.
The justices are set to issue opinions on three remaining cases from the court’s current term starting at 10 a.m. McDonnell’s case was argued in April and was the last case the justices heard for this term.
McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, were indicted in January 2014 on charges of taking $177,000 in gifts and loans from Jonnie R. Williams Sr., then-CEO of Star Scientific, in exchange for promoting the company’s dietary supplement, Anatabloc.
