In politics, there is always a lot of whining and sour grapes.
But you won’t find any of that at Trump Winery near Charlottesville.
In fact, since the vineyard’s namesake — billionaire businessman and TV celebrity Donald Trump — announced his run for president a year ago, the wine business, owned independently and run by his son Eric, has exceeded expectations in the tasting room and the boardroom.
“We’ve seen enormous growth,” said Kerry Woolard, the general manager of Trump Winery. “Every primary, we continued to see huge spikes.”
