“There’s been a lot of bumps along the way, and I think we learned from those challenges,” co-founder, president and CEO Eric Major of the global medical device company K2M, headquartered in Leesburg, told an audience of business leaders at the National Conference Center on Friday.
Major, the speaker of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce’s Lessons in Leadership series, discussed what he has learned from growing K2M out of his Ashburn garage to taking the company public in 2014.
The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce’s event brought together local leaders including Loudoun County Chairwoman Phyllis Randall (D-At-Large) and Supervisor Suzanne Volpe (R-Algonkian), as well as representatives from businesses and nonprofits.
Major’s speech came after K2M announced this summer a total reported revenue of $53.3 million and unveiled its new Leesburg headquarters, expected to create nearly 100 new high-paying jobs over the next three years.
