The local, family-owned and operated company, Chaney Enterprises, has opened a new concrete plant in Bishopville, Maryland. Located at 11935 Worcester Highway, the Bishopville plant will serve new and existing Chaney customers on the Eastern Shore, including Ocean City, Ocean Pines and Berlin in Maryland; and Rehoboth Beach, Fenwick Island and Selbyville in Delaware.

The Bishopville plant offers traditional ready mix concrete as well as newer products Chaney has established a national reputation for producing, including pervious and roller-compacted concrete. The plant plans to employ 10 local residents, with plans to add more as the business grows.
Other Chaney plants on the Eastern Shore include Seaford, Del. and Salisbury, Cambridge and Queenstown in Maryland.
