A new neighborhood is taking shape at the northern end of the resort beach.
The construction of Cavalier Residences, a collection of 81 homes on The Cavalier Hotel property, is well under way.
Small cul-de-sacs have been carved out and streets signs are in place. There’s Dorsey Lane and Glenn Miller Street – private roads named for famous people who visited the historic hotel in its heyday.
All of the lots have sold either to companies in the project’s builders’ guild or to custom home buyers, many of whom are locals.
