CCAH’s Pete Carter to Moderate DMAW Lunch and Learn Session on Lessons in Successful CRM Database Transitions

WHAT: Nonprofits utilize their constituent relationship management (CRM)systems to manage and track member and donor information, including postal and email addresses, phone numbers, donations, communication and involvement history. Using comprehensive data about their constituents allows organizations to drive more effective engagement efforts and improve results.For a variety of reasons, organizations sometimes decide to move their database to a new system, which is always a major undertaking.

To help guide organizations planning to move their CRM database, the Direct Marketing Association of Washington (DMAW) will hold a Lunch and Learn session titled “Moving Your CRM Database Without Losing Your Sanity or Your Job: Lessons from the Front Line.” Attendees will hear accounts and tips from a panel of experts who have first-hand experience with database transitions.

Attendees will gain the following four key takeaways:

  • 1.The different phases of a database transition
  • 2.How long organizations should expect to be without access to data
  • 3.How to keep the transition moving on schedule
  • 4.How to make sure key stakeholders are on board with the transition and its impact


WHO: 
Pete Carter, principal and senior vice president of CCAH, an award-winning multichannel direct response firm specializing in nonprofit fundraising, will moderate the discussion.
