Old Dominion National Bank Shareholders Elect Four New Board Members

Four new directors from the Washington Metropolitan area have been elected by Old Dominion National Bank's shareholders, adding a strong blend of experience, expertise and diversity to the board of the growing Virginia bank.

Old Dominion's new directors are Thomas F. Dungan III, Yong Li, Wendy M. Mitchell and Paul Zhu. They join six existing members of Old Dominion's Board.

"Each of these new board members brings a unique perspective and strong Northern Virginia ties that will prove incredibly valuable as we chart the course for Old Dominion's promising future," Chairman Wes Yuan said. "We are fortunate to gain the depth of experience and quality of insight to add to what is already an engaged and talented Board of Directors."

The newly elected board members bring extensive experience in banking and business in the Northern Virginia market that Old Dominion serves.

Thomas F. Dungan III brings previous bank director experience, having served on the Board of Directors for Virginia Heritage Bank and Potomac Bank of Virginia. He is CEO of Management Concepts Inc., a Tysons Corner based training and performance improvement company serving more than 60,000 professionals annually. He is also president of Andover Investments LLC, a holding company for investment activity in banking and real estate.

Yong Li has deep experience as a leader and innovator in the IT industry. Dr. Li has served as the Technology Architect in the Washington metro area office of a global business services, information technology and consulting company since 2000. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Li served as the Application Architect of the Information Technology division at Covance, an after-market pharmaceutical service company from 1997 to 2000.

Wendy M. Mitchell has considerable compliance and risk expertise. She recently retired from a distinguished 34-year banking career, during which she served in compliance and risk management leadership roles for United Bank, formerly known as Virginia Commerce Bank. She graduated from the American Bankers Association's National Compliance School and Graduate School of Compliance Management and was credentialed as a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager.

Paul Zhu owns, develops and manages commercial and residential real estate in Fairfax County, following a 30-year career in the satellite and communication technology industries. Since 2015, Zhu has served as Managing Partner of Pender Professional Center. Previously, he served in executive and managerial positions with iTalk Global Communications, Inc., the International Telecommunication Satellite Organization and Lockheed Martin Global Telecom, Inc., all in the Washington metro area.
