Travis Powell had his hands full at Back Bay Brewing Co. A line had formed in front of him at the craft brewery on Norfolk Avenue at the Oceanfront. Powell poured glasses, signed off on a keg reservation and rang up tabs while offering a little advice.
“Take three sips before you go onto the next one,” he told a couple trying a flight of lagers and an amber ale. “Each sip should be different.”
Soon, Powell may be recommending a tasty morsel to go with the beers.
The City Council will consider allowing all breweries to offer customers a bite to eat with their beer. The Planning Commission is recommending approval to allow those types of businesses to sell food that’s prepared on or off site.
