Juan Wallace, a member of the varsity football team at H.D. Woodson High School, has been named the first District of Columbia State Athletic Association U.S. Army Impact Player of the Month for November.
Wallace was nominated for the award by the football coaches at H.D. Woodson, which finished the regular season 11-1.
"Juan is an excellent young man who leads by example. He's [the] type of young man that any parent would want as their son," H.D. Woodson head varsity football coach Gregory Fuller said. "He does it on the field, he does it in the classroom, and that's all we ask of them -- be a good young man first, student second and athlete third. He has definitely displayed that throughout his entire career here."
