Navy Looks To Finish Strong In Armed Forces Bowl

In a season that sputtered near the end because of injuries, the Navy football team still has plenty at stake in the Armed Forces Bowl Dec 23.

The Midshipmen (9-4) can earn back-to-back 10-win seasons for the first time in school history with a victory against Louisiana Tech (8-5) in Fort Worth, Texas. Navy is also looking to extend a three-game winning streak in bowl games -- tied for the fifth-longest active mark in the nation.

"This is a big game for us," Navy offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper said. "We have to win this football game. We've had a great year. We've had some losses here and there, but at the same time, we've won nine games with a chance to win 10. We're not going to hold our heads down. We're going to find a way to win this football game."
