Blue Ridge Aquaculture Announces Expansion In Henry County

Blue Ridge Aquaculture will invest $3.2 million to expand its operation in Henry County and create five new jobs. That decision was announced Tuesday, both at the Henry County Board of Supervisors meeting and through a release from Governor Terry McAuliffe’s office.

“Blue Ridge Aquaculture is a leader in its field, and we are proud to have the company here in Henry County,” said Henry County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jim Adams. “This is a great day for all of us.”

The decision comes due in part to several performance agreements. The first performance agreement was related to the Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development (AFID) Fund administered by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS). McAuliffe approved a $50,000 grant from the AFID Fund to assist with the project, which Henry County matched with local funds.
