Funding Circle raised $100 million of equity capital in a deal led by Accel Partners, according to a press release.
The deal was joined by other existing investors Baillie Gifford, DST Global, Index Ventures, Ribbit Capital, Rocket Internet, Sands Capital Ventures, Temasek and Union Square Ventures
In the release, the company said lending to small businesses from its platform reached more than $1.4 billion in 2016, including about $485 million in the fourth quarter.
Funding Circle has now raised $373 million in equity funding.
