Ciata Lattisaw, a member of the varsity girls' basketball team at Dunbar High School, has been named the District of Columbia State Athletic Association U.S. Army Impact Player of the Month for December.
Lattisaw, a sophomore, was nominated for the award by Lishay Wilkerson, the athletic assistant at Dunbar. Wilkerson chose Lattisaw for her outstanding play on the court, as well as her prowess in the classroom. Lattisaw currently holds a 4.02 GPA, which is one of the best at Dunbar.
To Shayla Williams, Dunbar's varsity girls' basketball head coach, Lattisaw is someone who makes an all-around impact for her team.
