Five Things To Know About Nationals Prospect Koda Glover

Washington Nationals right-hander Koda Glover quickly worked his way through the minor leagues after being selected in the eighth round of the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft, debuting July 20 and pitching in 19 major league games in 2016. As a result, Baseball America deemed him Washington's sixth-best prospect entering 2017. Here are five things to know about the reliever out of Oklahoma State.

1. Only One Player Drafted In 2015 Debuted Faster

Chicago White Sox right-hander Carson Fulmer, a first-rounder in 2015, is the lone player from the 2015 draft class to reach the majors before Glover, who opened the 2016 season with the High-A Potomac Nationals. Glover didn't allow an earned run during 9.2 innings in Potomac. His stints with the Double-A Harrisburg Senators and Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs didn't last much longer before the Nationals promoted him. Glover pitched the ninth inning in his first game with the Nationals and retired the three batters in order to secure an 8-1 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
