Rick Perrault began his career as a “sales engineer” after answering a newspaper ad. Now he’s CEO of Visiontech Solutions Group, a Fluvanna County-based tech design and manufacturing company.
“[The ad] was by this company called Arrow Electronics for a sales engineer, and as soon I saw that, I thought, ‘used car salesmen,’ but here I am,” he said.
Perrault, who has a background in electrical engineering, moved up the career ladder from a technical sales engineer to general manager at another company. He then got his master’s of business administration and wrote a business plan for VSG in 1998.
