Roger Fradin
Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) today announced that Roger Fradin, former Vice Chairman of Honeywell International, has been retained as an Operating Executive consultant for the Industrial & Transportation team.
As an Operating Executive, Mr. Fradin will provide strategic guidance to Carlyle professionals throughout the investment process, from sourcing to acquisition, and advise portfolio company executives on management, operations and growth strategies. He joins a distinct group of 30 senior business executives – with an average of more than30 years of experience – who help Carlyle invest wisely and build value across a range of industries. Mr. Fradin will also continue to devote time to various roles outside of the firm.

Mr. Fradin served as Vice Chairman of Honeywell from 2014 until 2017. He was responsible for advancing the company’s merger and acquisition strategy and completed 80+ acquisitions with more than $9 billion of aggregate purchase price. He also developed Honeywell’s best-in-class acquisition integration process, which is now Honeywell’s corporate standard. Mr. Fradin had previously served as President and CEO of Honeywell Automation and Controls Solutions (ACS). During his 10-year tenure, ACS more than doubled in size from an $8 billion, mainly U.S. domestic business, to a $17 billion global business.
Mr. Fradin joined Honeywell in 2000 when it acquired Pittway Corporation. During his tenure at Pittway, Mr. Fradin served as President and CEO of the Security and Fire Solutions segment, where he helped lead an entrepreneurial team that built Pittway into a global supplier of electronic security and fire alarm products.
Mr. Fradin earned his MBA and BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also served as a member of the faculty. He is also a Director on the Boards of Pitney Bowes, a NYSE-listed provider of eCommerce solutions, MSC Industrial Direct, a NYSE-listed industrial distributor, Harris Corporation, a NYSE-listed technology services provider, and most recently Signode Industrial Group, a Carlyle portfolio investment.
