The Cyphers Agency has been named agency of record for Blackwall Hitch, a coastally inspired concept with restaurants located in Annapolis, Md, Alexandria, Va, and Rehoboth, Del.
Blackwall Hitch is positioned as a unique dining experience that creates a local connection through seasonally driven and locally sourced food and great music, with performers that give patrons a taste of local talent.
The three Blackwall Hitch restaurants are managed by Mid-States Management Group, a company based in Anne Arundel County with more than 25 years of restaurant management experience. Other brands Mid-States operates include The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille, Roy Rogers and J. KING’S Steak and Seafood.
“We are excited to begin working with Mid-States Management Group to bring overall awareness to the Blackwall Hitch brand,” said Darren Easton, Cyphers vice president and creative director. “Through our integrated marketing initiatives we look forward to maximizing brand awareness and increasing sales for Blackwall Hitch.”
James King, CEO of Mid-States Management Group, said, “The Cyphers Agency was a natural choice for us as we look to grow our brand in 2017. They know the markets where we operate and have the strategic vision we were looking for when it comes to increasing the visibility of the Blackwall Hitch brand.”
Blackwall Hitch got its name and inspiration from the unique blackwall hitch knot, which attached ropes from boats to the hooks of docks. In 1862 the shipping industry was strong in London’s Blackwall Port and ships were in and out in quick order. The ships set sail and docked at the sandy coasts of Maryland and Virginia and other parts of the Eastern Seaboard.
