The Big Ten Tournament gets started at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. March 8, when Penn State and Nebraska face off for the right to play Michigan State a day later, while Rutgers and Ohio State play for the right to take on Northwestern.
Maryland, however, earned a double bye and the No. 3 seed in tournament and won't play until around 9 p.m. March 10.
The time off is just fine with Terps head coach Mark Turgeon.
