The Roanoke Regional Partnership recently was recognized for its work on bringing Deschutes Brewery to Roanoke.
The international professional organization Site Selectors Guild presented the partnership with the 2017 Excellence in Economic Development Award. Executive director Beth Doughty accepted the award at the guild's annual conference March 15 in Tuscon, Arizona.
Last year, Oregon-based Deschutes announced it would make the Roanoke Valley the home of its new East Coast operation.
