PGI Leans Forward with Global Mission Focused Support Services and Earns Two Greater Washington GovCon Awards Finalist Positions

9/26/17

In 2016, Patriot Group International (PGI) launched initiatives focused on technology, expanding its expertise in training while adding digital tradecraft, electronic counter surveillance, along with offensive and defensive drone work to its capabilities portfolio.

The company won one of 15 spots on a $975 million Counter Narcotics & Global Threats Operations and Logistics Support Contract, landing it a coveted role in working to detect, deter, and defeat national security threats posed by illegal drugs, trafficking, transnational organized crime, and more.   Committed to humanitarian programs and corporate social responsibility efforts, PGI also completed the evacuation and relocation of more than 1,100 ethically vetted refugees.

These were just a few of the achievements highlighted for the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards. The NOVA Chamber of Commerce and Professional Services Council focus on companies completing extraordinary GovCon work for these awards.

PGI won a finalist spot for Contractor of the Year, and CEO Greg Craddock was named a finalist for Executive of the Year during the September 12 ceremony.

“The companies and executives recognized as finalists demonstrate excellence and distinction,” said Jim Corcoran, Northern Virginia Chamber president and CEO. “This is a highly competitive process and those that emerge as finalists have a great deal of which to be proud.”

Contractor of the Year recognizes an area government contractor for outstanding contributions to employees, the GovCon industry and the U.S. government. Executive of the Year is presented to a government contracting C-level executive who made outstanding contributions to his/her company, the community and the government contracting industry during the past year.

“The contract wins we highlighted—many of which focus on counternarcotic and counterterror initiatives—are ones that stand true to our mission and strategy of working with projects that contribute to national security,” said Craddock.

As a finalist for both awards, PGI is also eligible for the Program of the Year distinction.

“We’re lucky to have amazing team members who are mission focused but also dedicated to human rights work, corporate social responsibility efforts and more,” said Craddock. “We’re proud to be named as one of such a distinguished group of companies and executives, and we are thankful to our team for making it possible.

Award winners will be announced on November 1st.  See the full list of finalists here. To learn more about PGI and its humanitarian and contract work—or to request an interview with Greg—contact Melina Sirimson at melina@verasolve.com.
