Central Virginia Community College has a new educational partner: Sweet Briar College.
The two schools signed a co-enrollment agreement in late October, which will allow CVCC students to take one class per semester at SBC while paying the CVCC tuition price. For Virginia residents, that’s $141.75 per credit hour. Total costs for a full-time Sweet Briar student will be $34,000 next year after the college announced a cut from its $55,000 sticker price earlier this year.
“That is the beauty of this, under this program; courses taken at Sweet Briar will cost the same, per credit hour, as courses taught here at CVCC. That’s going to make this an opportunity for many students,” said Muriel Mickles, vice president of academic and student affairs at CVCC.
