A developer’s plan to convert the former Amherst Milling Company into a brewery is one step closer to completion.
The Amherst Town Planning Commission recently voted unanimously to recommend Amherst Town Council approve rezoning a portion of the property at its December meeting. The public hearing drew no comments.
The rezoning, if approved, would change seven acres from general residential to general business, allowing Dave McCormack, of Petersburg-based Waukeshaw Development, to convert the mill into a brewery.
