The historic Clifton Inn in Albemarle County has new owners.
Washington-based Westmount Capital Group LLC and Richmond-based EKG LLC have acquired the luxury establishment and have retained Scout Hotel & Resort Management to serve as its operator, according to a news release.
The inn first opened its doors to overnight guests in 1983, and rests on the 1799 estate of Thomas Jefferson’s daughter, Martha, and her husband, Thomas Mann Randolph.
