When the new year arrives, craft beer lovers in the Richmond area won’t have to wait much longer for a new, long-anticipated brewery destination.
More than two years after plans were announced, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery is nearing completion on an expansion project — a big, new brewery and packaging facility in eastern Goochland County, with a taproom that will be open to the public and serve Hardywood’s numerous craft beers.
“We are hoping to finish construction by the end of the year, and on track to get there,” Hardywood co-founder Eric McKay said during a recent interview at the site in the West Creek office park.
