The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors and the Charlottesville City Council have formally requested to change the governance structure of the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention and Visitors Bureau.
In a Tuesday letter to the CACVB, Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Diantha McKeel said the new proposed executive committee would include a representative from each elected body, as well as Charlottesville’s city manager, Albemarle’s county executive, an economic development staff member from both the city and the county and a representative from the University of Virginia.
Non-voting members would include the executive director of the CACVB, the chair of the CACVB advisory board and a representative from both Monticello and the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
