Hanover County-based Owens & Minor Inc. said Friday it plans a reorganization of its business as it moves toward completing the largest acquisition in its history.
The company, an international provider of logistics services and a distributor of medical supplies to health care organizations, said it plans to organize into two strategic business units: Global Solutions and Global Products.
The reorganization plan comes about two months after the company announced the largest acquisition in its history — a $710 million cash deal to buy the surgical and infection prevention business of Georgia-based Halyard Health Inc.
