Mohawk Industries, a residential and commercial flooring manufacturer, plans to invest $10 million in its Glasgow manufacturing operation in Rockbridge County.
The investment, announced Monday by Gov. Terry McAuliffe, will bring 15 new jobs to the area.
McAuliffe approved $73,000 from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to go to the county to assist with the project. Rockbridge County competed against Georgia and South Carolina to win the expansion.
Mohawk Industries will be eligible for sales and use tax exemptions on their manufacturing equipment and also a major business facility job tax credit, according to the governor’s office.
