Maller Wealth Advisors, a national wealth management firm based in Hunt Valley, spent a day in December at Helping Up Mission in Baltimore. The staff toured the homeless shelter’s facilities, prepared and served meals to residents and provided clothing and toiletry items.

“We were fortunate to spend time getting to know some of these men and learning about their individual journeys and goals,” said Peter Maller, founder and president of Maller Wealth Advisors. “We want to understand and help those less fortunate than us, many who are supported by Helping Up Mission.”

Helping Up Mission works to provide hope to people experiencing homelessness, poverty or addiction by meeting their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. Overnight guests receive a bed for the night, two full hot meals, toiletries for showering and clean clothes. The organization also provides a one-year residential spiritual recovery program.
