Southwest Va. Lawmakers Seek Funding Boosts For Virginia Tech, Radford, UVa-Wise

As the General Assembly works to craft a two-year state budget by March, lawmakers have requested billions for local projects.

Legislators filed more than 600 budget amendments totaling approximately $1.3 billion each year of the biennium budget, said House Appropriations Chairman Chris Jones, R-Suffolk.

Not all requests will be funded.
