Martin V. Burks III
Martin V. Burks III, of J.F. Bell Funeral Home, has assumed the office of chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Burks succeeds Joseph Raichel, a senior vice president at Wells Fargo.
“Our Charlottesville community is a welcoming, loving community, alive with commerce. But it is not perfect,” Burks said. “Our chamber brings a legacy of building a better, more embracing, uplifting community with a thriving economy, with opportunity for all our neighbors today and for future generations. It is our work. We are absolutely committed to our work.”
Peter Caramanis, of Royer, Caramanis & McDonough, now serves as first chairman of the chamber board.
