Allison Laudicina Kahl Joins OTJ Architects’ Washington D.C. Office

Allison Laudicina Kahl

OTJ Architects welcomes Allison Laudicina Kahl, Director of Design, to its Washington, D.C. team. In her new position, Mrs. Kahl oversees project design from inception to completion to ensure design continuity and integrity.

Mrs. Kahl earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Florida State University. She has lived in Seoul, Korea where she was a Project Manager for Nine J Architecture and led the design development of what was the most expensive residential penthouse project in the city at the time. Following her time in Seoul, Mrs. Kahl lived in northern Italy for several years where she developed extensive, international professional relationships, collaborating with artists, architects and furniture designers.

“Allison’s comprehensive background, which has included corporate office, residential building and non-profit organizational design, provides her with a unique skill set for overseeing groundbreaking workplace design,” says OTJ Managing Partner Lance Jaccard, AIA, IIDA, LEED AP. “She is an expert at managing relationships and her passion for architecture is uniquely tempered by art, culture, and design.”

Mrs. Kahl regularly attends the Venice Biennale. She is a member of the non-profit Save Venice foundation, which works to secure and protect the cultural patrimony of Venice as well as rehabilitating its art, architecture and design. Mrs. Kahl also serves in an advisory position as the Director of Interior Architecture and Design at Team RWB, a national non-profit veteran’s organization.
