Warschawski, a full-service advertising, marketing, digital, public relations, branding, web design, creative and crisis communications agency, announced today that Rachel Henderson, Vice President of Warschawski, will speak at the National Press Club’s Communicators Breakfast about Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Storytelling. The Communicators Breakfast gathers communications professionals to discuss a topic of importance, led by an expert in that field. The breakfast event will take place at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., on February 21.
On the heels of Warschawski announcing its new virtual reality and augmented reality client offering, Henderson was invited to speak about her knowledge and expertise in the growing Virtual Reality (VR) space. She is an award-winning producer of “Under the Net,” the first VR documentary by the United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign to raise awareness, funds, and support to fight malaria. She speaks at industry conferences and events across the country about the power of VR/AR platforms and how to integrate this technology in a marketing communications strategy; most recently at the VRX Conference & Expo in San Francisco.
“I am honored to present at the National Press Club’s Communicators Breakfast to discuss the rapidly growing virtual reality space,” said Rachel Henderson, VP of Warschawski. “VR is an important new marketing tool that many people are excited about, but don’t know how to effectively implement it. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience in the value it brings to campaigns, providing an emotional brand experience for consumers.”
The National Press Club’s communicator members help further the goals of the organization through their participation in and support of activities that advance the cause of journalism and in defending freedom of the press. While communicator members do represent the point of view of their organizations or clients, they share the same ethics as journalists in the dissemination of news and information that is reliable and honest. In that sense, professional communicators must work with journalists (and vice-versa) to be seen as reliable and trusted sources of information that can assist journalists in reporting all sides of a particular story. The Communicator Team has well-defined activities already with great participation in the design and discussion of communicator events, that take good ideas and turn them into great events.
