Regardless of what’s built at the former Dome site, a survey shows consensus for one priority: water. And it’s not for a surf park.
Refill stations for water bottles was the top-rated item, with more than 90 percent either loving or at least liking the idea. Music festivals and events were close behind.
About 67 percent would “love it” if the Dome site had a live music venue. And more than half of the respondents in the city survey like or love the notion of building a skate park there.
Only 12 percent said no to a surf park.
Public parking ranked high, too, with a keen interest in free parking for locals. More than half of the respondents either like or love the idea of boutique bowling.
