With a water cannon salute, live music and a contest offering free seats on its inaugural flights, Spirit Airlines is attempting to make sure its arrival at Richmond International Airport on Thursday doesn’t go unnoticed.
Starting Thursday, the à-la-carte carrier will offer daily nonstop service to two Florida markets — Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
