Proceeds from Wine Women & Shoes will help support local Maryland families affected by breast cancer
The Red Devils, a Maryland-based non-profit supporting families living with breast cancer, will host the 4th annual Wine Women & Shoes event on Sunday, May 6 at the Delta Hotels in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Just in time for Mother’s Day, the popular spring event will bring together more than 300 women for an afternoon of fashion and fun. Proceeds from the event will provide thousands of breast cancer families with safe rides to treatment, keep them secure in their homes, and relieve overwhelming burdens of medical costs caused by breast cancer.
“Wine Women & Shoes is a great way to have fun and relax while celebrating and helping patients and families battling breast cancer,” said Jan Wilson, Executive Director of The Red Devils. “Our goal in 2018 is to raise $300,000, enough to fund treatment support for 1,000 Maryland families. There is no better day to spend with the important women in your life than one where you can sip, savor, shop and support.”
Wine Women & Shoes is a guest experience unlike any other bringing together top of the line boutique wineries; on-trend fashion and beauty retailers; and amazing small plates to please every palate. This year the theme for the fan-favorite, high-energy fashion show will be Paint the Town Red, including breast cancer survivors and their families wearing looks from select retailers and local Baltimore designers boasting the power of red.
Favorite features are returning, including the Key to the Closet Raffle offering more than $10,000 in merchandise and services, the Wall of Wine, and the Best in Shoe Competition. New this year - Shades of Red Lip Bar; Diamonds in the Buff, promising a half caret diamond for one lucky lady; and the posh, premium seating in the Diva Den. Shoe Guys will greet each guest with a sparkling wine, while assisting with the afternoon activities. Shoe Guys are a select group of 30+ local caregivers and business professions who have volunteered their time to celebrate and help raise funds for The Red Devils.
