Condos And Retail Proposed For West Broad Street In Henrico

A Virginia homebuilder is eyeing new condominiums and commercial space for western Henrico County.

The Henrico Planning Commission recommended approval to rezone 13.49 acres near the intersection of West Broad Street and Willard Road to allow for the development of condominiums. The approval would allow Stanley Martin, a homebuilder, to construct up to 200 residential units on a property currently occupied by an automotive business and a wooded area.

Jeremy Swink, a vice president at Stanley Martin, said the company has the land under contract. The tract’s proximity to commuter routes and downtown Richmond made it an attractive deal, he said.
