Three design-build entities want to construct the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel expansion.
The expansion project will include a new bridge-tunnel and widening of the four-lane segments of Interstate 64 in Hampton and Norfolk.
Hampton Roads Capacity Constructors, Hampton Roads Connector Partners and Skanska Kiewit submitted statements of qualification for the project on March 2, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation news release.
HRCC would include Fluor Incorporated and Lane Construction Company as the lead contractors, Traylor and Bouygues as the tunnel contractors and AECOM as the lead designer.
