Tessy Plastics Announces Expansion In Lynchburg

Lynchburg-based Tessy Plastics announced Tuesday a $9.2 million expansion in the area that’s expected to create 34 jobs.

“With over 200 employees, Tessy Plastics has been a valuable contributor to Lynchburg’s economy for more than 20 years, and we are proud that this global manufacturer will reinvest in the commonwealth,” Gov. Ralph Northam said in a statement.

Tessy Plastics, a division of Tessy Plastics Corp., specializes in injection mold building. It is a medical contract manufacturer with facilities in New York, Virginia and China. Tessy Plastics, founded by Henry Beck in 1973, also serves companies in the automotive, aerospace, military and consumer products markets.
