Botetourt County residents who took part in a survey overwhelmingly agree that the county’s government should prioritize bringing better internet and cellphone service to their community.
The Roanoke Valley Broadband Authority and county administrators commissioned a survey in December to study the need for better connectivity in the county. The results were presented Tuesday to the board of supervisors.
More than 80 percent of residents and businesses that responded said both internet and cellphone service were not a luxury or convenience, but a necessity.
