Projects To Grow Economic Development In Western Virginia Get State Funding

Three projects aimed at boosting economic development in Western Virginia received state funding this week in the latest round of approvals through the GO Virginia initiative.

In Roanoke, the Regional Acceleration and Mentorship Program, or RAMP, will use $244,300 in grant money to expand the assistance it provides for technology-based startups in the area.

In Lynchburg, $300,000 will go to the creation of the Center for Energy Research and Education Industry Labs at Liberty University, which will foster more research and development at regional companies and colleges.
